I once had a dream
to fly upon the ocean and upon the green;
to flap my wings up and down
to feel the wind in my hair.
I would wander around aimlessly,
with nothing to hold me down.
I would breath in the fresh air,
with no worries, no frown.
What happened to the dream? You may ask,
Well in a clash with the reality,
I lost my wings
But then I learned to use my feet
Much stronger than those wings.
I may have lost my dream;
But it was a selfish one anyway;
I would rather walk around dear ones,
than to just fly alone capriciously.
to fly upon the ocean and upon the green;
to flap my wings up and down
to feel the wind in my hair.
I would wander around aimlessly,
with nothing to hold me down.
I would breath in the fresh air,
with no worries, no frown.
What happened to the dream? You may ask,
Well in a clash with the reality,
I lost my wings
But then I learned to use my feet
Much stronger than those wings.
I may have lost my dream;
But it was a selfish one anyway;
I would rather walk around dear ones,
than to just fly alone capriciously.
