I am a feminist. But no, I do not advocate for men leaving their seats for women or them holding the door open for the latter. Those are a matter of personal perspective and have nothing to do with feminism. What I hope for is equality between different genders. What is so wrong with that?
First of all, let me tell you that the dictionary definition of feminism is the belief that all genders should be treated equal. Either you have that belief or you don't. If you choose to believe in that idea, you are a feminist. If you don't, then by definition you are a sexist. There is no in between.
Second, "the liberation from the male society" ,whatever the heck that means, is not the idea behind feminism. Like I said, it just about creating equal opportunities for male and their female counterparts. Now at this point, I do have to accept that there are certain self proclaimed feminists who are in for the liberation movement. They are called or should be called femi-Nazisist, not feminist.
As the third and final point, I want to talk about the need for such a movement in our society. Researches show that progenies of an educated mother is guaranteed to perform better than those of an uneducated mother. So essentially, when you are educating a woman and opening all the spectra of opportunities for her, you are bringing up her whole family and by that you are bringing up the whole nation.
Equality is a constitution given right to every citizen of this great nation. How am I the bad person for demanding it?
